TBA’S TAX REFORM ADVOCACY ENGAGEMENTS

The Tanzania Bankers Association (TBA), through its Tax Committee, collaborated with the Tanzania Private Sector Federation to present tax issues affecting the banking and private sectors at the Parliamentary Budget Committee in Dodoma on 14th January 2025. In March, TBA’s tax experts engaged with the Tax Reform Taskforce to push for reforms, aiming to create a more favorable tax environment for banks. On 7th May 2025, TBA reinforced its position at another Parliamentary Budget Committee session, voicing concerns and offering insights to reduce the cost of doing business in the financial industry.
