To help small and medium enterprises meet working and working capital needs.
The bank will process loan applications from potential customers (applicants/borrowers) with the following characteristics.
- Applicants financing need does not exceed TZS 60million
- Applicant with financing request exceeding TZS 5 million must have at least 2 years' experience in the business.
- Applicant with financing request below TZS 5 million must have a minimum of 1-year experience in the business.
- Applicant must have all the relevant business registration/ legality Documents.
- Applicant must have a permanent and formal business premise.
- Applicant must have operated a bank account for at least 12 months with other banks or NBC, In the absence of a one-year bank statement, a statement from MNOs, EFD, Direct deposit, or Supplier statement can be considered in the assessment.
- Applicant with a clean report from CRDB
- Applicant must be at least 18 years old and not exceeding 70 years.
- Two Colored Passport size photographs are attached (on the Loan application form and Request Letter)
- Loan Application form completed fully by the applicant
- Proof of date of birth, using one of the official IDs (Copy of Passport, National ID, Driver's license, New Voters ID, Zanzibar ID)

Business-related short-term liquidity needs for normal operation
1. Semi-formal business owners who operate active bank accounts with SMBT for a minimum of six months and from other banks for at least one year.2. Client is at least 18-73 years old at the time of loan disbursement 3. Business premises of the applicant in the bank's operational area 4. The client should have an account with Selcom Microfinance Bank 5. OD amount shall be capped at 20% of the monthly turnover for the transactions from other financial institutions calculated based on the average of one year.6. Comply with ESG policy
